Womens Service Rampton Christmas Pyjama Charity Walk – 15th December 2020

Today saw the start of the Christmas festivities with a Christmas charity walk, this took place in Women’s Services at Rampton Hospital raising money for Bassetlaw Food Bank, a charity chosen by a number of patients as they said it was close to their heart after being homeless and hungry at some point in their lives.

The event called for a small donation to be made and the willingness to brave the cold for a walk around the grounds of the female compound wearing either Christmas pyjamas or some other Christmas attire,  we were treated to a bright festive display of pyjamas, jumpers, headwear and even a full size elf! And Christmas music.

After the walk patients and staff participated in carol singing with Chaplain Bev Taylor around the Christmas tree. Festive mood was apparent with the weather also putting on a fine display.  This was followed by hot chocolate & marshmallows in the warmth of the Diamond Resource Centre. The event was supported by DRC Tis, OTs, SALT, TED managers. WS Modern Matron. The Total amont raised was £106.20

Thank you from Kath and the DRC team.
