Poetry from Rampton

As the Day goes on

It wants to drop and drop it will

My mood plummets I need a pill

As the night draws in

My mood darkens

Plan after plan is in the bin

My forehead tightens

Eyes stinging

Alone my heart is breaking

I have a visit in the morning

I’ve got to hold on, sure thing

I do not have a plan

But staying strong I am

And in any case

It is not a race

Just take it steady

Until I’m ready

It won’t be long

My turn to move on

Again it will be

A time for them to see

That I can still shine

And success can be mine
