Carers Week 11-17 June 2018 Caring for Carers Together – Thoughts of deaf carers

The NHS turns 70 on the 5th July 2018. To help celebrate this incredible organisation on its 70th birthday, we’re counting down the 70 days to the 5th July 2018 with a blog a day.

Carers’ films

In 2016, Notts Healthcare made this film together with  Nottingham Deaf Society  and Rob Glass from Coracle Films.

It is one of a series of films on our Notts Healthcare Website to raise awareness of carers and families and The Triangle of Care.

Jacqueline and Howard have three sons who are deaf.  They speak about the love for their sons and how they would like people to listen to what they say and to recognise that deaf people are equal to hearing people and should not be treated differently.

We think it’s worth another look : Caring for carers together: thoughts of deaf carers
