Involving Carers & Families

We’ve created a newsletter to help keep carers updated and have moved some meetings online or to a teleconference. To find out the latest, please look at our update page.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare works in partnership with Trust staff and carers. By listening to and involving carers, we can provide better care for our patients and service users.

The Triangle of Care

The Triangle of Care is a therapeutic alliance between service user, staff and carer that promotes safety, supports recovery and sustains wellbeing.

Our Involvement Experience and Volunteering Strategy  sets out how we will ensure that we involve carers, families, friends and siblings and how we will listen to (and act upon) their views by working  to the six standards of The Triangle of Care

In March 2019 the Trust won a Patient Experience Network National Award for our work to involve and support carers in the ‘Support for Caregivers, Friends and Family category. You can find out more here.

Carers Connect Network

The Carers Connect Network provides a forum for carers and staff to discuss and influence the progress of the Involvement, Experience and Volunteering strategy and The Triangle of Care. It provides an opportunity to share good practice and to report on progress and areas of improvement or concern to the Trust.

To keep you up to date with the latest news the Carers Connect Network are meeting online every month using Microsoft Teams.  If  you want to join in or become part of this group contact: maxine.parr@nottshc.nhs.uk

If you think you can make a difference come and join us. Email us to find out more.
